kick off and Longwell Green force an early corner which we deal with well.
Longwell are forcing the pace of the game and earn a free kick which hits the
post. We then start to play a little bit and Eli comes close to scoring. Jacob
is playing well at the back winning everything and we are now in control with
Owen hitting the post with a long range effort. Longwell Green then have a long
range effort of their own well saved by

Frys
come close early on with the Longwell Green keeper making a good save from a

1ST half
Ellis
makes a good save as Longwell dominate the early possession. Finally after
10mins Frys start passing better and create a few chances although Longwell
look more likely to score. A great break from Callum creates a good chance for
Josh James who fires just wide.
Half
time 0-0.
2nd
half
Longwell
score virtually straight from the kick off catching Frys cold. Longwell have
another chance but Ellis saves well making himself big. The Longwell keeper
makes a good one on one save from Sam as Frys try to equalize. The game becomes
open and starts going from end to end. Ref gives a dubious penalty and Josh
Seeley scores from rebound. Frys are looking stronger and are now pushing to
find winner. Harry hits a screamer from 20 yards, the keeper finds it too hot
to handle and is unable to stop it hitting the back of the net for the winner
2-1 Frys at full time.
Man of Match: ELLIS JONES For some outstanding saves and great goal kicking which kept forcing Longwell back towards there own goal.
Webmaster comment: Football is a game of opinions and that is part of
what makes it the game it is. Not having been present at the match I do get the
impression that some of the referee’s decisions were questionable. A polite
question or two after the match to obtain another view on a contentious
decision is perhaps acceptable but not during it. See The FA.com Parent
